Darcy Lewis Music

Winner of the 2025 West Australian Symphony Orchestra Composition Project, Darcy Lewis' work with conceptuality in music has led to its performance across Australia and internationally including performances in Sweden and Japan. He challenges musical, physical and conceptual boundaries in his work with the intention of bringing out the new and unexpected from its performers.

It has been a remarkable pleasure to spend time creating and studying at Högskolan för Scen och Musik for the past 6 months alongside wonderful ensembles, lecturers and colleagues. My music and practice have grown exponentially.

Part of a collection of works exploring the possibilities of baroque dance notation as a means for musical direction and inspiration; "Let Movement" explores what happens when a conductor is deprived of familiarity and left with only movement.
