Winner of the 2025 West Australian Symphony Orchestra Composition Project, Darcy Lewis' work with conceptuality in music has led to its performance across Australia and internationally including performances in Sweden and Japan. He challenges musical, physical and conceptual boundaries in his work with the intention of bringing out the new and unexpected from its performers.

“Lewis has a fantastic spatial awareness that he magically embeds in his compositions; you’re not just listening to music, you’re watching music, you’re sharing space with the music, and in turn the music feels aware of you and your presence.”
